Stacked Piercing | Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: 6/12/2026 |  Last Updated: 6/12/2026

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of services provided by Stacked, a luxury piercing studio located in Oregon. By booking an appointment, visiting our studio, or purchasing jewelry from us, you agree to these terms in full.

If you have questions before your appointment, we’re happy to walk you through anything.

1. Services

Stacked provides anatomy-led piercing services, jewelry curation, and aftercare guidance through The Stacked Method™. All services are performed by trained professionals using single-use, sterile needles and implant-grade materials.

We do not use piercing guns. We do not perform piercings that your anatomy cannot safely support. Our piercers will assess your anatomy before any placement is confirmed, and we reserve the right to decline a piercing that we believe would not heal well or would cause harm.

2. Appointments and Booking

Booking Fee

A booking fee is required to secure your appointment. This fee is applied toward your total balance on the day of your visit. If you cancel before the 24-hour window, the piercing fee is refunded in full. If you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment, the booking fee is retained as the cancellation fee.

Cancellations and No-Shows

We understand that plans change. Our policy is as follows:

  • Cancellations made more than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment will receive a full refund of the piercing fee.

  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment will result in forfeiture of your booking fee.

  • No-shows will also forfeit the booking fee.

To cancel or reschedule, please contact us directly as soon as possible. We will always do our best to accommodate you.

Rescheduling

You can reschedule at no charge as long as it is more than 24 hours before your appointment. A reschedule link will be in your confirmation email.

Late Arrivals

Arriving more than 5 minutes late will be treated as a cancellation and your booking fee will be retained. If you know you are running behind, please call us ahead of time at (815) STA-CKED and we will do our best to find a solution based on that day’s availability.

Missing Documentation

Arriving without required identification or consent documentation will also be treated as a cancellation and your booking fee will be retained. Please review the ID and age requirements below before your appointment.

Intoxication

We are not able to pierce anyone who is under the influence of alcohol or other substances. Informed consent requires a clear head. Arriving intoxicated will be treated as a cancellation and the booking fee will be retained.

3. Age Requirements

Age requirements vary by piercing type. The following minimums apply:

  • 8 years of age: Earlobes

  • 13 years of age: Helix, flat

  • 15 years of age: Nostril, septum, navel, floating navel, conch, tragus, daith, rook, eyebrow, lip, Jestrum

  • 18 years of age: Bridge, nipples, high nostrils, tongue, and any piercing not listed above

If the piercing you book for does not align with our age requirements and there is no alternative you are interested in at the time of your appointment, it will be treated as a cancellation and the booking fee will apply.

ID Requirements

For adults (18+): a valid driver’s license, state ID, or passport. Temporary paper IDs are accepted alongside an expired, hole-punched ID. Expired documentation alone is not accepted.

For minors (ages 8+): we require valid ID for both the minor and the parent or legal guardian.

  • Parent or legal guardian: valid state ID, driver’s license, or passport

  • Minor: valid birth certificate, state ID, driver’s license, or passport. School IDs are not accepted.

  • If last names or addresses on IDs do not match, a birth certificate is required in addition.

  • All documents must be original — no copies or digital versions.

  • Court documents verifying guardianship, signed by a judge, are accepted when other documentation does not match.

The parent or legal guardian must be present for the full appointment and provide written consent via our waiver.

Who Can Give Consent for a Minor

We require a biological parent with valid ID, or a legal guardian with valid ID and documentation confirming legal custody. A friend who is 18 cannot sign. You cannot legally sign for yourself if you are under 18. A cousin, aunt, uncle, grandparent, partner, or sibling cannot sign. This is about protecting your child, and we take it seriously.

4. Health, Anatomy, and Eligibility

Not every anatomy can support every piercing. Our piercers will conduct an anatomy assessment before any placement is confirmed. We will be honest with you about what your body can support and will not perform a piercing we believe is not appropriate for your anatomy.

Please inform us before your appointment if any of the following apply to you:

  • You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding

  • You are taking anticoagulants (blood thinners) or Accutane

  • You have a known metal allergy or sensitivity

  • You have diabetes, an immune disorder, or another condition that may affect healing

  • You have had a recent surgery or are planning one

  • You are planning to submerge the piercing area in water (pool, ocean, hot tub) within the near future

We pierce with ASTM F136 implant-grade titanium and 14k gold for all initial piercings. These materials are chosen to minimize reaction risk and support healthy healing. We will not use materials that do not meet our quality and safety standards.

Stacked reserves the right to decline services to any client whose health, anatomy, or circumstances indicate that proceeding would not be in their best interest.

5. Jewelry and Pricing

Piercing fees and jewelry are priced separately. The piercing fee covers your anatomy assessment, placement, and the service itself. Jewelry is selected in consultation with your piercer and priced according to the pieces chosen.

We only pierce with jewelry purchased from Stacked at the time of your appointment. This ensures the material, quality, and fit are appropriate for a fresh piercing.

All jewelry sold and used at Stacked is hypoallergenic and selected for healing, comfort, and long-term wear. Pricing varies by design and material. We offer options across a range — from straightforward starting pieces to more elevated designs.

A maximum of 4 piercings may be performed per appointment.

All sales on jewelry are final once a piercing has been performed. We do not offer returns or exchanges on jewelry purchased for a piercing appointment.

6. The Stacked Method™ and Six-Week Check-Up

At Stacked, care does not end when you leave the studio. For cartilage and other applicable piercings, a six-week check-up is a required part of the process. This appointment allows us to assess healing progress and downsize the initial jewelry where appropriate.

The downsize is complimentary for all clients pierced at Stacked.

Failure to attend the six-week check-up may affect healing outcomes. We are not responsible for complications that arise from skipped follow-up appointments.

Ongoing support, styling guidance, and long-term care are available as part of Stacked Life — our commitment to your piercing beyond the initial appointment.

7. Aftercare and Client Responsibility

Healing is a partnership. We provide clear aftercare instructions and realistic timelines at every appointment. It is your responsibility to follow aftercare guidance, attend follow-up appointments, and reach out if something does not feel right.

Healing timelines vary by piercing type, anatomy, lifestyle, and individual health. Stacked is not responsible for complications that result from failure to follow aftercare instructions, premature jewelry removal, or use of unauthorized products or techniques.

Important: Do not remove your jewelry without consulting your piercer first. Removing jewelry from a healing piercing — even briefly — can cause the piercing to close. If you are concerned about your piercing, contact us before removing jewelry.

If you believe your piercing is infected, do not remove the jewelry. Contact us or seek medical advice. Removing jewelry from an infected piercing can trap bacteria and worsen the situation.

8. Photos and Video

Photos and video are not permitted during the piercing process. This protects the focus, hygiene, and privacy of the piercing environment for everyone.

Before and after your procedure, check in with your piercer — they will let you know what works for the space and the moment.

With your consent, Stacked may photograph healed piercings and ear stacks for use in marketing, social media, and educational materials. We will always ask before photographing you or your work. If you prefer not to be photographed, simply let us know. This has no effect on the quality or nature of your service.

9. Limitation of Liability

Piercing is a body modification procedure that carries inherent risks, including but not limited to: pain, swelling, bruising, bleeding, infection, scarring, allergic reaction, migration, rejection, and keloid formation. By booking an appointment, you acknowledge these risks and agree that Stacked is not liable for outcomes that result from normal procedural risk, individual healing variation, or failure to follow aftercare guidance.

Stacked is not responsible for complications arising from pre-existing medical conditions that were not disclosed prior to the appointment.

Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the piercing service in question.

10. Refund Policy

If you cancel more than 24 hours before your appointment, your piercing fee will be refunded in full.

If you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment, arrive more than 5 minutes late, arrive without required documentation, or arrive intoxicated, your booking fee will be retained.

Jewelry that has been installed is non-refundable. We do not offer returns or exchanges on jewelry purchased for a piercing appointment.

If a piercing cannot be completed due to an error on our part, we will work with you to find a fair resolution. If you have concerns about your experience, please contact us directly. We take every concern seriously and will do our best to make it right.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon. Any disputes arising from your use of Stacked’s services will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Oregon.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The most current version will always be available on our website and in-studio. Continued use of our services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
